Braces and Aligners

Crooked teeth, gaps and bite problems corrected with fixed braces or clear aligner trays, after a consultation that tells you which is genuinely right.

Braces and Aligners

Both start the same way, with a consultation and scans to see what the bite is actually doing, not just the teeth that show when you smile. From there we build a plan with real timelines instead of a rough guess.

Braces are fixed and adjusted at follow-up visits. They handle the more complex cases: significant crowding, bite problems, and younger patients whose jaws are still developing.

Clear aligners are removable and changed in sets as the teeth shift. They suit people who want something less visible day to day, provided the correction needed is straightforward enough for aligners to achieve it.

Neither is simply better. If aligners will not get you the result you are picturing, we will say so rather than sell you the more convenient option, and if they will, there is no reason to put you in brackets.

Common questions

About braces and aligners

How long does treatment take?

It depends on the correction. Mild crowding can be finished in several months, while a complex bite correction can run a couple of years. You get a realistic timeline at the consultation, not after you have started.

Am I too old for braces?

No. Adults make up a large share of orthodontic patients. Teeth move at any age, provided the gums and supporting bone are healthy, which is what we check first.

Are clear aligners as effective as braces?

For mild to moderate crowding and gaps, yes. For significant bite problems and severe crowding, braces still do things aligners cannot fully achieve.
